Unit One was 10 when he first got into beats and his first vinyl (which he still has) was Pig Bag's "Papa's Got A Brand New Pig Bag" because of the massive drum break in the middle after that he just fell in love with beats and breaks.
His first ventures on the wheels of steel occurred in the mid 80's when he was bitten by the hip-hop and Electro bug. It was during this period that he developed his cutting and scratching skills on his first set of decks. Last year saw Unit One play at Fantazia's only ever London rave alongside the likes of Grooverider.
He has brought his original flavas to the digital age now and his sets are unique and never predictable with live remixing and original vinyl scratching staying true to his roots and passion. Visit my Facebook

He’s a DJ, Photographer, Drummer and a Guitarist…. He’s also got a pretty face.
Risqué fills the floor with chart, house and the latest remixes every night. When he’s not in the booth, he’s on the dance floor with his camera, shooting the photos for the Facebook page. Outside of the club, he’s the drummer in a local band, and is getting back into BMX after a few years off; still spending most of his time on the floor rather than on the bike though. Check out my Facebook page
Catch him in Room 1 in the booth mixing, or anywhere else in the club shooting the photos for our Facebook page.

Jon grew up surrounded by Music and DJ’s whilst living with his Uncle, and during this period found himself sucked in by the Instrumental sounds and smooth beats of Motown and Northern Soul Music. From The Stylistics to TSOP sounds Such as Archie Bell and the Drells his passion for Urban sounds has transported him to the New Wave beats of artists such as Raphael Saadiq and Will.I.Am. Today however he has adapted to play to a far more open Audience and heavier beats. From Drum & Bass & Dubstep to Funky House & Electro. And after Djing in his own right for the last 13 years and playing to varied audiences around the south and south-west feels that he has what it takes to keep the dance floor rockin. “Nothing beats the feeling of Bass on the floor while the clubbers are jumping around”.
Come check it out and see if you can keep your Foot from tapping, Head from nodding and Lips from singing.
